How We Are Funded
The Fellowship for Indigenous Leadership derives its income through financial contributions from a combination of individuals, Victorian businesses, philanthropic trusts and others. These funds are held and administered through a tax deductible fund established under the auspices of the Australian Communities Foundation and grants are administered through the Brotherhood of St Laurence.
The Fellowship for Indigenous Leadership Ltd was also endorsed as a Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) from 21 April 2021. It is covered by Item 1 of the table in section 30-15 of the Income Tax Assessment Act 1997.
The Fellowship Program is administered pro bono and all donated funds go directly towards supporting participants and activities.
The Fellowship offers far more than just the benefits of a tax deductible donation. It is a unique opportunity to play an integral role in one of the most exciting leadership initiatives in Victoria.
Supporters are also invited to participate closely in the program by sharing resources, skills and contacts with an appointed Fellow or Emerging Leader. This will provide opportunities to gain a broader understanding of Victoria’s Indigenous community and create links that are vital to realising long-term progress in this area. Ongoing interaction is encouraged to strengthen the sustainability of the Fellowship.
Our accounts are audited annually and we provide funders with financial statements on request.
