Announcement Awards for 2022

Due to COVID and the multiple lockdowns that Victoria had to overcome, the Fellowship for Indigenous Leadership were unable to celebrate the appointment of the 2020 and 2021 Awardees.  However, on Monday 6 June 2022 members of the Alumni, Advisory Committee, supporters, friends and family gathered for an evening reception in the Aunty Joyce Johnson and Uncle Stewart Murray Rooms at the Koorie Heritage Trust in Melbourne with catering by Mabu Mabu.

The evening was MC’d by Peter Maher, Chair of the Advisory Committee and an Acknowledgement of Country was given by Aunty Steff Armstrong.

The Awardees were:

Candace Williams and Shantelle Thompson – Emerging Leaders 2020 – 2021

Alice Pepper – Leadership Bursary 2020 – 2021

Rose Johnson-Briggs and Daen Sansbury-Smith – Emerging Leaders 2021 – 2022

The Fellowship also recognised the supporters who generously donated in the last 12 months as well as the organisations that the Fellowship for Indigenous Leadership has been so fortunate to have long-standing relationships with whether financially or indirectly.
